Located in the centre of Funchal, Kampo is a space for sensory and gastronomic experiences, where you find the cultivated Island flavours, the essence of the nourishing products and their season. This small space with an intimate atmosphere offers a privileged view over the kitchen, where the dishes created by Chef Júlio Pereira come to life.
The menu is simple and tasteful, “a Kampo of flavours” that varies according to the season. The naturally fermented bread is handmade, fish comes directly from the market, meat is worked on the grill, vegetables are prepared using different techniques, and the desserts are daring. We suggest, among others: Tuna Tartar, Mushrooms and Portuguese Sausage “Bola de Berlim”, Duck Rice with Confit Duck Leg and White Chocolate, Black Olives and Passion Fruit. Kampo works with tasting or à la carte menus and a vegetarian option. The average price is 90€/2 pax.
