Taberna da Poncha

Located on the road that connects Ribeira Brava to Serra D’Água, Taberna da Poncha is one of the oldest and most popular taverns to have Poncha, which is part of the island’s cultural identity and a must. Many bars serve Poncha, but none are as traditional and popular with tourists and locals alike. The traditional Poncha takes lemon, cane sugar, brandy and orange juice, but other variations are served, with passion fruit, for example.
