Local Shop

Located at the foot of the Monte Cable Car, Local Shop is a panoramic café and, above all, a stopping point for several Levadas. It does not go unnoticed for its dark green paintwork, but above all for its beautiful terrace that offers a breathtaking view over the gorge of Monte towards the Botanical Garden. Due to its excellent location, Local Shop is a place to repeat and a popular spot to eat or drink anything between activities. Super `instagrammable' landscape that asks for your selfie!

The menu is modest, with simple elements but promoted by tourists as delicious. The highlight is the freshly roasted coffee at Greenhouse Coffee. It also offers a good selection of natural juices, locally produced coffees, wines and craft beers. In addition, you can find healthy snacks such as salads and sandwiches. Cakes are homemade. The average price is 25€/2 pax.
