Located in Rua Maravilhas, Fábrica Ribeiro Sêco is one of the oldest Madeiran companies specialising in sugarcane honey production, one of the most crucial factors in the economic development and identity of the Island. A timeless heritage of Madeira, the sweet cane plantations gave rise to the first transformations of the landscape and, for this very reason, sugarcane honey is a living testimony to the history and art of its production.
Fábrica Ribeiro Sêco protects the making of this secular culture, following the “same recipe” since always. Today, in addition to the commercialization of conventional and organic sugarcane honey, the offer has expanded to honey by-products, namely honey cake, honey bread and even chocolate, truffles with honey and jams, too.
You can purchase these unique products both at the Fábrica and in other commercial areas, for example, in traditional/gourmet shops and hypermarkets.
