Located in Funchal, UAU Cacau is a chocolate shop that sweetens the lives of those who seek them. Created in 2014, Tony Fernandes fulfilled his dream of dedicating himself to the world of chocolate, focusing on artisanal production with the highest quality standards. Today, chocolate with typical Madeiran products and unmistakable fillings is a success.
What started on Rua Queimadas de Baixo (factory and shop) now has two more spaces – at the Madeira Forum and at Mercado de Lavradores, where you have a cafeteria service and purchases in bulk.
The chocolate toasts to the Island flavours in several perfect combinations with Madeira Wine, Ginja, Poncha, Sugarcane Honey, Passion Fruit, Banana, Pitanga, and Mango, among others. A well-deserved highlight goes to the UAUCACAU de Maracujá bonbon, awarded with a gold medal and the most sought after.
The company produces chocolate for events with a custom logo and personalised flavour. It has limited editions themed around the festivities, and there are product lines for diabetic patients or dark chocolate lovers.
Open from Monday to Saturday from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm (Loja Queimadas).
