Located in Travessa do Forno, Fábrica de Santo António brings us “the true taste of other times”, being the first factory of cookies and biscuits on the island. In 1893, influenced by English customs, these cookies and biscuits were present on every table at tea time. Today, they are still on tables, maintaining the quality and consistency of yesteryear, being the perfect company for the short breaks of the day.
The shop is located at the factory and does not go unnoticed, as it perfumes the streets with its baking process and invites you to the space made of cone wood and old pieces. We breathe history here, honoured with pride in the most varied traditional products such as assorted cookies, traditional sweets, plain or with essences, honey cake, broas and jams. It has bulk products.
In addition to the physical shop, you can buy these products online or in other commercial places, including supermarkets, as they are an authentic reference for the Island and Portugal.
Open from Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 19:00. Saturday until 1:00 pm.
