At Armazém do Mercado, Funchal, Lillie Ceramics is a 100% handcrafted ceramics atelier/shop inspired by Madeira Island. The brand belongs to two Scandinavian sisters and aims to capture the Island essence in their pieces with Madeira Product Certification, using mainly the potter's wheel and hand painting.
Since 2017, the company has taken sustainability into account, which is why production is on a small scale, producing just enough, protecting quality in the various cooking processes and guaranteeing its unique character. The company of the two Finnish sisters represents the memory of the artisan families who subsisted on their hard work and crafts.
In the shop, you will find several beautiful and timeless lines of tableware inspired by Madeiran nature. The high-quality pieces are made of highly-cooked stoneware to cook in the microwave and wash in the machine. The shop has personalised piece customisation and a gift system to surprise someone.
