Madeira is full of experiences. However, going down to the Fajãs do Cabo Girão is especially beautiful and dramatic. As you can imagine, climbing the typical Madeiran terraces (Fajãs) was not easy work for the farmers. Faced with the problem, they built a cable car to use as a means of transport. In 2003, cable cars opened to the general public.
The Fajãs Cabo Girão Cable Car connects Sítio do Rancho to Fajãs de Cabo Girão, in a steep journey but with illustrious panoramic views. Arriving at the bottom, enjoy the agricultural paradise, with crops arranged in small mosaic shapes, surrounding yourself with native fauna and flora and exploring a small beach. This infrastructure also offers a bar and restaurant service.
