Situated in the old part of Funchal, Madeira Rum House is a unique place whose concept has links to the acclaimed Sugar Cane Brandy, the traditional Madeira Rum. A characteristic space, cosy and with good music, where the senses are challenged to be part of the experience that is to taste this drink with a remarkable flavour and smell. Rum is part of the Madeiran spirit and the island's identity, the result of traditional production processes and the experience of generations.
The space, in addition to the experience of aromas, is almost like a museum, presenting one of the largest collections of bottles, where you can hear the history and utensils used in the confection of this magical drink. The menu offers several tasting options, some accompanied by regional tapas. Try and enjoy Poncha à Pescador, Rum & Tonic, Rum & Passion Fruit and Madeira Ginja. There is Madeiran beer and wine.
