Eira do Serrado

Eira do Serrado, located 25 minutes north of Funchal and situated in the mountainous inland of the municipality of Câmara de Lobos, in what is called 'the heart of the Island', is one of the most paradise-like places in Madeira.

As it rises to an altitude of 1095 meters, it offers all those who visit a breathtaking, fantastic, unforgettable and at the same time panoramic view over the entire valley of Curral das Freiras. This region, well-known for its chestnut and cherry trees, with all its gastronomy in keeping with the traditional recipes of Madeira, offers all the infrastructures for you to spend a beautiful day, or even overnight, at the Estalagem da Eira do Serrado.

To get here, you can do so by car or cab to the Estalagem da Eira do Serrado and from there, you should follow the footpath towards the viewpoint.
