Prainha

Prainha, considered by many to be one of the best beaches in the archipelago of Madeira, is located at the eastern end of the island of Madeira. It is a natural beach, typically volcanic with fine black sand and is located in a tiny bay, surrounded by imposing cliffs that shelter it from the Atlantic winds.

Here you can see the aircraft landing at the Santa Catarina Airport, the Piedades Dunes and even several limestone fossils. The infrastructures present, such as a restaurant, changing rooms, sunshades and sun loungers will contribute to a day well spent in this magical and unforgettable corner of Madeira.

To get to Prainha, you can do it by car, cab or bus (lines 01, 77, 81, 103, 110, 112, 129 and 155), where you will have to go through a parking space, located on the road that connects Caniçal to Ponta de São Lourenço.
