Praia da Ponta do Sol

Ponta do Sol Beach is a place you won't forget anytime soon. Located in the western part of Madeira island, it is embedded in a small bay in the village and municipality with the same name.

This pebble beach, surrounded by 160 meters high cliffs and a magnificent view, will charm everyone. It is widely known for its lovely weather and mild water temperatures. It has all the necessary infrastructure for any bather or tourists, such as changing rooms and sanitary facilities, a sports field, snack bar, a summer library, and parking near the beach.

To get to Ponta do Sol Beach, you can do so by car, cab, or bus (line 142 and lines 7 and 4).
