Viewpoint

Ponta de São Lourenço is the easternmost point of Madeira Island. It is within the region of Caniçal and, as part of the municipality of Machico, it also belongs to Madeira's natural park and Natura 2000 Network. This is a two-way trail with an extension of about 8 km where, in the end, you will have the opportunity to contemplate the entire coastline with an incredible 360-degree panoramic view.

Throughout the entire route, you will be amazed by the vast and unique landscapes of the entire surrounding peninsula. At the end of this route, you can visit the IFCN Reception Center and get to know most of the biological species that are part of the Ponta de São Lourenço.

To get here, you can travel by car, cab or bus (line 113).

Note: Entry - €1 (except residents and children up to 12 years old, included).
