The Funchal Cable Car, located in the town's old part, connects Funchal to Monte in a journey of 15-25 minutes along 3200 metres. Approach the steep mountain as you move away from town, which blends in with the ocean blue to make room for Monte's rich flora, orography and geology. One of the most attractive places in Madeira and a place of choice since the beginning of tourism. Enjoy the panoramic landscapes and visit the Funchal Amphitheatre.
Open all year round, except on December 25th. Open at 9:00 am and the last boarding at 5:45 pm. Adult price for a round trip costs 18€, and Child - 9€.
