Located in Câmara de Lobos Business Park, Barbeito Wines unite the past and the present, passionately combining innovation with tradition. Established in 1946 by Mário Barbeito and always managed by family members, this relationship of union and proximity, especially with the producers, makes them acquire the highest quality grapes.
Pioneer in the service of Madeira Wine with food, you will find indications on the counter-labels to harmonise wines with dishes. Barbeito takes advantage of ageing in different warehouses, with different climatic conditions, as it will give substance to what distinguishes them from other wines: the long and acidic freshness in the aftertaste.
Currently, you can go to the wine cellar on a guided tour, where you will follow the entire wine production process, from the reception of the grapes to the final product. At the end of the visit, you will access documents and memories of the company's history and even taste up to 10 wines aged between 5 and 20 years.
