Museum | €-€€
Located in the tourist area of Funchal, the CR7 Museum is a space dedicated to the famous Madeiran footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, where the visitor learns about his life and brilliant career. Opened in 2013 in the presence of himself and his son, initially with 126 trophies, it opened in 2016 in a new and larger space integrated into the hotel built in partnership with the Pestana Group. Today, the museum is an official sponsor of Clube de Futebol União.
The visit begins outside in front of the museum with the player's bronze statue, created by the Madeiran sculptor Ricardo Velosa. Once inside, notice the Portuguese cobblestone floor with the museum's logo. The exhibition's main attraction is the individual and collective trophies won throughout his career, namely the 5 Golden Balls and 4 Golden Boots. In addition, you will find iconic photographs and videos, as well as access to an interactive timeline and fan letters. Through Augmented Reality, it is also possible to interact with Ronaldo and take pictures as if you were next to him.
The museum has an official merchandise store. Open from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. The general ticket is €5.
